Marenich Konstantin - Acting rector of Donetsk National Technical University, Head of the Mining Electrotechnics & Automation Department named after R.M. Leybov in Donetsk National Technical University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Ph. D., Professor, Deputy Dean for Research of Faculty of computer information technologies and automation.
Born March 10, 1958 in Donetsk.
1980 - Graduated from Donetsk Polytechnic Institute (DPI, now DNTU), specialty "Electrification and Automation of underground mining".
Candidate of Technical Sciences (1991), Associate Professor (1994), Professor (2013).
Theme of dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences: "Asynchronous electric underground scraper conveyor with thyristor pre-protective device" (specialty 05.09.03 "Electrical equipment and systems, including their management and control").
Theme of dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences: "Development of the theory and principles of structural formation of the protective deenergization devices of modern mine electrotechnical complexes" (specialty 05.09.03 "Electrical equipment and systems")
Since 1999 is head of Mining Electrotechnics & Automation Department named after R.M. Leybov.
Author of more than 190 publications, including one textbook, 3 manuals (all - with vultures), 4 research monographs, 46 inventions.
Area of research - development of the theory and principles of construction of automatic protection from mine local electricity emergency and hazardous conditions.
Theorized parameters, developed schematics and performed industrial approbation (at the level of experimental samples) thyristor unit APM-1 for control launch of electric mining machine - the first Soviet series thyristor power unit in mine design, implementing the program start-up and braking of the asynchronous electric medium power (joint DNTU and development institute "Avtomatgormash" release mastered by Makeevsky mine automation factory).
Co-author of technical document "Specifications for mine explosion-proof electrical equipment with power semiconductors voltage up to 1140 V".
Since 1990 directs the work of creation, putting into operation and technical support to the operation in "Kharkov machine-building plant "Miner Light" of thyristor loading devices for pre-operational drive units running scraper conveyors unit capacity from 55 kW to 400 kW.
Supervises the preparation of highly qualified scientific personnel. Under the leadership of K. Marenich were prepared and defended 4 dissertations.
